I got one!

Now into week three with clients we are just starting to get into a groove. Last week was the craziest yet. We had 8, Oil executives from Venezuela and 10, Tycoons from New York. Both groups wanted the lodge to themselves and expected a very high level of service. In the end they were very grateful for us and taught us a lot about how to be on top of our jobs. And.... Yes!!!!! I finally saw a bear! It was so cute. I wanted to pet it, but was assured that was not a great idea. Right outside our lode you can see some mama bears and cubs playing and swimming. Husdon's is here this week. It has been great. They have been really great about giving me a break and getting me out on fishing trips. I was able to give my assistant Dave dinners off this week and i am taking the mornings off. Yesterday we went to a place called UGASHIK. It is the second biggest lake in Alaska. It looks like the Ocean. We flew in on a plane called a beaver. It seats about 6. It was myself, Jordan (fishing guide), Dave (pilot) and Two ladies from Austin. While flying in to our fishing spot we saw a pack of Caribou and a huge brown bear running on the beach. Dave circled the plane around so we could chase the bear on the beach. It was cool. I caught a ton of Char fish. The Salmon had not made it to were we were at yet. But, apparently were were located at the mouth is where salmon ended up to spawn and then to die. The bank looked like a big 'ole fish fry there were so many skulls and bones of fish. It was my very first time in waders. It is quite a cool sensation, you feel the temperature and pressure of water but you walk right through it. My arm is so tired. Fly fishing is addicting. once you get your line out there you have to move it back and forth, side to side, in order to simulate a moving bug in the water. We made lunch right there on shore. Such a fun experience. The best day i have had so far. After we flew back into camp. Jeff, Robert (Hudson's), and I prepared for dinner. It was kind of nice to slide back into the back seat and just help. Dinner went well and all the guest were pleased. I will be going Halibut fishing this week, so i hope to give you another update soon. I love you guys and miss you.
