It has been an adventure...for sure!!! I had some crazy issues getting here and didn't have my bags for days. But.....once i got here.....amazing!!!!!! I can't describe to you what i am seeing right now, but it blows my mind every day. The mountains still have snow, the volcanos are steaming, the wildlife is thriving..... i have never seen anything like it. However, my friends...... I am cold!!!! so cold! I do have this cute little cabin. It is like a little board walk. We are the camp counselors, so to speak. My sheets are camo, but.. i got some hot pink window drapes to off-set the manliness.
My schedule is still 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m, but it has been worth every minute. My kitchen has been quite a job and i am still getting used to ordering groceries from another city. But, i have had free range to make this kitchen m own.. and i have. My assistant is great. He is excited and versitile and has a great attitude. The people i work with are great. Granted, there are not many women around these parts, but i have not felt that influence here. A completely wonderful experience.
We will get our first guests this friday. I am praying that i will be prepared and excited to enter this season with the same excitement that i feel right now.
I love you guys and miss you all very much. I am having issues with my camera, but i will send some good ones soon.

I am so happy to hear that life in Alaska is going well...stinks about the phone....but you will be so busy you won't even notice. Love the pics...keep them coming!
